1) How to Register
First time users must first register. To do so, simply click on "Register" in the upper right corner of the screen. Next, enter in all of your personal information in the appropriate fields. Note that fields marked with a red asterisk are required fields. Then, click “Complete Registration”. Last, you will have to verify your registration by clicking on the link sent to the email account you used for your registration. That’s it. You are now ready to buy or sell products on ArcheryAuction.com. First, however, you should set up your Buying and Listing preferences, which is in the next section called, “Setting Up Your Account”.
2) Setting Up Your Account
Setting up your preferences is easy. First, sign in to your account by clicking “Sign In” in the upper right corner.
Next go to “My Account”. You should now set up your “Payment” preference under the “Listing Preferences” section. If you accept Paypal, check the box and key in your Paypal account email address. If you would like Instant Check Out, check the box accordingly.
The “Allow Instant Checkout” option, when a payment method (PayPal) is added, will allow the bidder or buyer to checkout immediately after the auction ends or a fixed price sale is made. Alternatively, when it is not checked, the buyer must wait for the seller to create and send an invoice.
If you have other payment instructions, you wish to advise buyers of, such as that you “Accept Money Order”, “Personal Check”, or “Credit Cards”, simply enter this information in the “Payment Instructions” field. This will show up in your payment methods section automatically when you list a product for sale. Last, click "Save".
3) Listing a Product for Sale
To list a product for sale, first sign in to your account. Next, go to the “Sell” section.
Click the category of your item, then the subcategory, if applicable. Next, you will check which type of listing you desire (Auction or Fixed Price). Then, click “Next”. Type in what you want to appear in the “Title” field. Then, a subtitle, if you wish to do so. A subtitle is not required. Add in the item description. Next, you will type in your Starting Bid if it is an Auction type listing, or the Buy Now Price, if it is a Fixed Price Listing. You can also offer a Buy Now Price for your Auction listing, which is the amount you would accept at any time for the product you are listing. At this time, you may also enter a Reserve Price. This is the minimum amount you will accept for the item. The Reserve Price is not visible by Buyers in the Listing.
You will now want to add your images. Click “Add Image”, then, select the appropriate image from your computer file. Repeat as necessary for up to six images.
Next, you will check the appropriate boxes for your Listing Options, such as bold, italics or highlight.
Now you will add in the shipping methods that you support and the amount. You may add multiple shipping methods if you desire. Simply click the “Add Another Shipping Method” button to add additional shipping methods and amounts as desired.
Last, check what duration you wish to list the product for. Click “Create Listing”. You have now completed listing your product.
4) Buying or Bidding on a Listing
To buy or bid on an item, first you must sign in to your account. When you have found the item you wish to buy or bid on, click “Bid”. Next, key in the amount you wish to bid and click “Submit Bid”. You may enter the highest amount you would pay for the item (Proxy Bid), if desired, and ArcheryAuction will bid incrementally for you up to your maximum bid, in the event you are outbid. Confirm your bid by clicking “Submit”.
Your bid has now been submitted.
You may enter higher (Proxy) bid’s at any time you wish during the auction, if desired.
5) Invoicing the Buyer
After selling an item, ArcheryAuction automatically invoices the buyer, as long as you have checked the “Allow Instant Checkout” box in “My Account”, under “Listing Preferences” in the “Payments” section. The invoice will be listed in their account section under Purchases and ArcheryAuction will automatically email the buyer as well, notifying them that they are the winning bidder.
